BERNICE UHRICH It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernice Uhrich on April 12 at the age of 98. Bernice is lovingly remembered by her son David Uhrich (Avril), daughter in law Margaret Uhrich, grandchildren Brian Uhrich (Heather) and Alanna Uhrich ( Tommy Keegan Jr.), sister Dorothy Luney and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, son James, sister Elenor Wakeman and her brother Addison Stady. She was born in Rapid City, Manitoba and moved to Transcona at an early age where she lived her whole life until moving to Riverview Health Centre for her last few years. She was involved with her community her entire life. Serving in various capacities at her church, Transcona Memorial United, and in the early development of the first public library in Transcona. We will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held at 2: 00 p.m. on Tuesday April 22 at the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Avenue. Special thanks to Sara and the staff at D1, Riverview Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Crentre, One Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3V6.
