PAUL DENNIS SCHLINGERMAN April 3, 1946 - April 14, 2014 With his family by his side Paul passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Paul was predeceased by his older brother Jack in 2012. Paul is survived by brother Bob and much loved sister-in-law Karen, his nephew Scott Schlingerman, dear niece Marnie Shea Kaul (Anil), great-nephews Andrew and Matthew Kaul, who loved their uncle dearly, his loving sister Marnie Donaldson (Robert) of Toronto, nieces, Jennifer Soward (Paul Guthrie), Kelly Retter (Charlie) and families, as well as Jack's children Darin Schlingerman and Karry Debreull. Paul was born in Winnipeg and got his education at St. Paul's College, his first job was working with computers at CN Railway. Paul finished his working career at the ESSO Service Station on Taylor Avenue. Thank you to the staff at the Taylor ESSO especially Glenn, Darryl and Mavis for their support in the last few months. As well, thank you to Mary Ashcroft and her wonderful home care staff, and the incredible, caring staff at St. Boniface Palliative Care that made Paul's last few months as comfortable and pain free as possible, they showed him love and respect. They are an amazing group of people. At Paul's request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and his final resting place will be at U. B. Pine in Terra Nova, ON, where he will be reunited with his brother Jack. Flowers are gratefully declined.
