Mom leaves behind her wonderful husband Paul, who she was happily married to for 54 years and her dog "Bucky"; her children: Earl (Gloria) Belcourt, Barbara (Tony) Garrioch, Sandra (Wayne) Barnes and Eldon Belcourt; her grandchildren: Fredrick (Dawn) Garrioch, Corry (Caroline) Belcourt, Chrissy Belcourt, Stacey Barnes, Stephen (Katie) Garrioch, Sherene Barnes (Landon) Kauppila, Samantha Barnes and Marie-Anne Garrioch; her great- grandchildren: Talia Garrioch, Francis Barnes, Paul Belcourt Jr., Layton Garrioch, Calem Garrioch and Cohen Barnes as well as numerous relatives and friends. Some of Pearl's favourite hobbies included: shopping, travelling, fishing, camping, gardening, crafts and family gatherings. She especially loved getting together with family at Easter, Christmas and other special occasions. Mom enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice. She believed in God and his wonderful gift of angels. She was an angel to her family and valued the importance of faith and religion as she always encouraged us to pray. As a very outgoing person, she always had a joke or two to tell and a smile on her face. She was a compassionate and loving person that led her to being a great caregiver for 45 years. Mom was a pillar of strength and a truly amazing woman. We'd like to thank Dr. Parker, the ICU nurses and all the medical staff at the Portage Hospital for the wonderful care and support they provided. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Funeral Mass will be held in the St. Eustache Roman Catholic Church on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Father John Legitimas officiating. Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in care of arrangements. Phone 248-2201 or 1-888-400-2326. www.afh.ca

She was my greatest hero. She showed me there is always hope even when there doesn't seem like it. She also said never give up on what you want. I'll miss her forever but at least she is not in pain anymore. - Posted by: Talia Belcourt (Garrioch) (Great grand child) on: Mar 12, 2015

My grandmother was a strong woman. She motivated me and taught me to be my own person. Her soft singing while I helped her do chores and her laughter are just a couple of memories that I will cherish forever. I am truly blessed to have had her in my life as a grandmother. I love and miss you grandma. - Posted by: Josey Garrioch (Granddaughter) on: Apr 24, 2014

Mother Belcourt was the best mother-in-law that anyone could ever ask for.... And she was mine! I loved her deeply and I know she loved me. The love and caring was evident whether I saw her in person or talked to her by phone. One of the highlights of Earl's and my visits to St. Eustache each year along with our children Corry and Christina was seeing Mom and hearing her laugh. I will miss her dearly. Until we meet again, Mom. Love Gloria - Posted by: Gloria Belcourt (Daughter-law) on: Apr 21, 2014

I met Pearl when I was a very young girl. In the short time I knew her she was always very loving, caring and understanding. She was also a very strong woman. She showed me how to be strong, though at the time I could not see it. I never forgot her or her son Earl. She was special. - Posted by: Maureen Scott (a compassionate friend) on: Apr 20, 2014

I had the honour of being chosen to be a part of this family. My bond with my grand meme was strong. I will never forget the feeling of her soft lips on my cheek or the room lighting up when she entered it. I am truly blessed for having this incredible woman as my meme. I am even more blessed to have her spirit surround me and my family forever. She is truly an angel, spirit mother and I love her with all my heart. - Posted by: Christina Belcourt (Grand daughter ) on: Apr 19, 2014
