Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANKLIN SIGVALDI SIGVALDSON Franklin Sigvaldi Sigvaldson, aged 81 years, of Riverton, Manitoba, passed away on April 18, 2014. Franklin was born in Riverton, Manitoba on June 1, 1932. His career took him to Alberta working in Calgary and then moving to and settling in Edmonton. After many years with CIBC he spent time with the Credit Union, Healy Ford and Barrel Taxi before retiring to Riverton, Manitoba. Franklin was passionate about curling and fishing and spent much of his time at the lake both before and after retirement. Franklin was never shy about expressing his opinions which often lead to lively discussions. Franklin is survived by his son Eric (Michelle); grandchildren Kiana and Kasidy; brother Allan (Deanna); sisters, Margret Jackson, Lorraine Sigvaldason, Marilyn (Dalton) Brown and sister-in-law Shirley Sigvaldason. He will be greatly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews who appreciated his teasing and lively debates. He was predeceased by his parents Alli and Anna; sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Stoney Bjarnason; sister and brother-in-law Kae and Maurice Dozois; sister and brother-in-law Sylvia and Allan Miller; brother Halldor (Dori); brother-in-law Bill Matwychuk; brother-in-law George Jackson; nephew David Jackson and niece Beverly Tait. As per his wishes a cremation has taken place and there will be no service, a private interment and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
