JOYCE MARIE ZILKIE July 19, 1937 - April 26, 2014 It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Joyce Zilkie. She passed away unexpectedly at the age of 76. She will be greatly missed by her children Rosemarie (Robert), Edward (Dennis), Leslie (Judith), Patrick (Rose), Paul (Valeri), Weslie and Christopher (Tina), 21 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchild, siblings Jim, Roy (Gaye), Ed (Sharon), Shirley (Ron), Bob (Paulette), Diane, sister-in-law Linda, good friend Lilian as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her life partner and soul mate Dennis, in 2011, sister Lorraine, brothers Rick and Lorne, and her parents Edward and Gladys. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Funeral Service will follow on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., both at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium, 1800 Day Street. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Concordia Hospital ICU for all their compassion and support through a very difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's name to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba for the current and future Zilkie descendants as the health and happiness of Joyce's family was her #1 priority.
