MICHAEL CIEMNY July 19, 1954 February 11, 2014 Left to cherish Michael's memory are step-son Trevor (Laura) Heaps, and stepdaughter Robin (Lorne) Hayka; grandchildren Trevor, Corey, Alicia, Braidon, Sara, Jayelle, Tara, Dallas, Mickael and William; sister Cindy Kornik (Eric); brother Donald (Karen) Ciemny; nieces and nephews Jason (Alana), Janice, Tina (Barry), Tammy, Kevin, Ryelle, Aurelia, Alexa, Amelia and good friend Lorrie Heaps. Michael is predeceased by his father Martin Ciemny, brother-in-law Barry Kornki, grandson Jerry Hallett and soon followed by mother Jean Ciemny (March 26, 2014). Michael attended school in Arborg. He worked at the bakery for his Mom and Dad. He went to work for Arborg Transfer driving truck (his passion in life). He worked at Gardwine until his passing, he enjoyed the many fields of trucking. When not working Michael enjoyed spending time doing yard work, sitting back enjoying a drink, spending time with his step-children, grandchildren and family. Wherever travel took him he always seemed to meet someone who knew someone he knew, "small world" he would say. Mike always looked forward to the holidays and spending time with the family. He enjoyed the care packages always sent home with him, from the Ukrainian food from Mom, to the leftover salads from his daughter. Mike made many good friends whether it be Marcel Sutyla from school, guys that worked at Arborg Transfer and fellow Gardwine employees, to the people he met in his travels. Mike had stories to tell about everything. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Silver Hall, Silver, MB (four miles south of Arborg). Cremation has taken place along with family burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba. 10-4 over and out Rest in Peace Little Hamburger. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Mike was a great neighbour. I had lived next door to him for the last 8 years. Mike was one of the first people I met when I started work with Quality Management 17 years ago. He always had a smile, chuckle, or story. He was a perfect neighbour. Quiet. There if I ever needed anything (which I didn't). And he knew I would help him out if needed (which he didn't). His smoking didn't bother me, and mine didn't bother him. I miss seeing him trying to get his laundry done before heading out on the road and complaining cause my supper smelled too good. Rest in peace Mike. - Posted by: Carol Hunter (Neighbour.) on: May 09, 2014
