She was born on May 3, 1913 in Wawota, Saskatchewan. She came to Winnipeg in 1937 and married in 1941. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill), her parents Wilfred and Jane Ward and her sister Eleanor Ward. She is survived by her daughter Kay Peter (Helmuth), sons Ward (Ingrid), Dayle and grandchildren. Funeral services to be held at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Glen Eden Cemetery.
