Anna was predeceased by her mother Mary Louise Helgesen; her father Engebret Helgesen; sister Louise Helgesen; brother Harold Helgesen (Lolly); and daughter Debbie Sutherland. She leaves to mourn her husband of 37 years Allen Sutherland; brother Siggi (Melvina); sisters, Sonja (Denis) Sharon (Douglas), and Helga; children, Randy Ridgeway (Caron), Carla Ridgeway (Jim), Derrill Ridgeway (Tracy), Danna Ridgeway (Kenny), Allen Sutherland Jr. (Elanie), Glen Sutherland (Samantha), Marvin Sutherland (Cindy), Wendy Sutherland, Annette Sutherland; adopted son Dave Carrier; mom loved and embraced all dad's children; many numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends from Thompson, Beaver Creek area and Winnipeg. Anna was well known as the perogy lady and as a dear friend with a big heart for anyone she had met. Anna was president of Nickel City Taxi, Thompson for numerous years. Her real passion was cooking, crafts, gardening, singing, playing guitar, writing songs and enjoying outdoors with her puppies by her side Ms. Molly and Nipper. Anna and Al retired in Beaver Creek. They spent the last 20 years in a place they dearly loved. A "come and go luncheon" will be held at 554 Polson Ave., Winnipeg, MB at a later date. Our Beaver Creek Cottage Set along the roadside off highway 234. Not too far from Riverton, just 20 miles or so There's a little cottage surrounded by the trees. Sandy beach and sunsets matched with the northern breeze. That's the place that we love and it's called Beaver Creek. You can find us resting with the squirrels and with the geese. Every Friday after work there's packing to be done. Don't forget the coolies and wiesers #1. It's a two hour journey and the funs begun. Baby girl and Pokey are waiting for their run. Humming birds are feeding they're quite a sight to see. Little wings are flapping how happy they must be. Moose and deer are everywhere and rabbits are around. Flowers are a blooming, the gardens growing strong. With the autumn weather, the green leaves will turn brown. We just want to let God know we're thankful he's around. When the season's over and back to town we go. Just to think of spring time and the melting of the snow. Then it's back to Beaver Creek, the place that we love so. If you want to find us, you'll know just where to go. This is just a little part of what I'll always be. Now you know the story of Beaver Creek and me. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Rest in Peace Anna.. It was always nice talking with her when I stopped for perogies. Once I asked her to make us 40 dozen perogies for a school event that we were hosting on Matheson Island. She made them and had them all in tin foil roasters totally smothered in bacon and butter and everyone just loved them. The kids were coming back for seconds and the adults were commenting that they were the best perogies they ever ate! All we had to do was heat them up in the oven and they were ready. She charged us next to nothing because it was for the kids.. I will always think of Anna as I cruise by Beaver Creek, May she Rest in Peace.. She will be missed - Posted by: Wanda & Chris Mowatt (Friends) on: May 06, 2014
