FILOMENA DI LORETO Following a lengthy illness, Filomena passed away on May 6, 2014 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her infant child Antonio, her husband Dominico, grandson Sandro, her mother, father and brothers Antonio Di Marino and Annunziato Di Marino. She is survived by her son Joseph Di Loreto (Christina) of British Columbia, daughter Rosa (Piero); her grandchildren Sabrina, Joe, Christina, Marco and Mario (Ivona), and great-granddaughter Emma. She is also survived by her brother Pietro (Annarita) of Vancouver as well as by other family and friends in Canada and Italy. Filomena was born on June 26, 1930 in Pennadomo, Chieti, Italy. She came to Canada in 1962. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Following retirement in 1992 they moved to Vancouver until returning to Winnipeg in 2004. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. with Rev. Father Sam Argenziano officiating. Condolences will be received at 10:00 a.m. Interment follows at Assumption Cemetery.
