Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON GAIL ROSS (nee RIGBY) September 13, 1943 - May 6, 2014 With hearts full of love and heavy sadness we announce the untimely passing of our treasured wife, mother and grandmother, Sharon Gail Ross. She passed quickly with her family holding her close at the St. Boniface Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Ed (1968) and Lee (2010). Sharon will forever be remembered and adored by her husband Dave, daughter Tara Lee (Jason) and cherished grandchildren, Mason Ross and Makenna Sharon. Creating beautiful memories together, during frequent visits with Tara, Mason and Makenna brought her immense happiness. Her family was her passion, her priority and her heart's greatest joy. Sharon was loved by all who knew her through her generosity, devotion and joy for life. Her radiant smile and boisterous laugh lit up every room she walked into. Her home was always open to a friend and her warm hugs will be greatly missed. She was the master of all things domestic and could whip up a meal that would match any Master Chef. She took great pride in her gardening and created a beautiful oasis retreat in her yard for all who entered to enjoy. Sharon was born in Yorkton, raised in the St. Vital area of Winnipeg and graduated from Glenlawn Collegiate. She married Dave in 1974. Her best friend and daughter, Tara, was born the following year. Sharon and Dave owned and operated The Happy Wanderer in Plum Coulee, MB from 1974 to 1980, where she masterfully ran the restaurant and forged lifelong friendships. Upon returning to Winnipeg she established a career with the Provincial Court in the office of the Crown Attorney where she was known for her dedication and hard work. The family would like to thank Dr. Albiruni Razak and Kjirsten Nyquist-Schultz at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto for their thoughtful and supportive care. A special thank you to dear friends Janice Sine, Jeanine and George Remillard and Gladys and Albert Wymer for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (please specify for The Sarcoma Medical Oncology Research Fund), 610 University Ave., Toronto, ON M5G 2M9. Honorary Pallbearers include: Albert Wymer, George Remillard, Jason Caldwell, Charles Deacon, Pat Remillard, Allan Taylor. Dave sorry for your loss. I was going to send A card when Lee died not that long ago but didn't have any idea where to send it. Lee and I worked together for A good many years, but Sharon was still just A kid so it was quite A shock to see of her passing.----Ted - Posted by: Ted Gordon (school mate) on: Jun 02, 2014

I remember Sharon as a vibrant, loving Grandmother to Mason and MaKenna, always joining in on what ever was going on with so much energy and love. You could literally see the love for those children beaming out of her eyes. Sharon was one of those special people that you can instantly connect to. As her heart was so warm and open. This too shines through in her daughter Tara. Rest in peace.. -Brigitte - Posted by: Brigitte (Tara's friend ) on: May 10, 2014
