WILLIAM (BILL) EDWARD HYDE January 3, 1933 - May 2, 2014 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend William Edward Hyde (Bill). Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara; children Tom (Heather), Jim, Charlie (Stacey), Cathy (Rick), Teresa (Jason); grandchildren Jessica, Rebecca, Megan, Christian, Elaine, Cody, Miranda, Elizabeth, "little" Stacey, Mason; brother Art (Trudy); sisters-in-law Judi Hyde, Shirley Wares (Howard) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog "Boo". Predeceased by his first wife, Patricia; father, William; mother, Elizabeth; brother, Gerald, and sister, Joyce. Bill enjoyed being a part of the Rocklands Antique Club, and square dancing with tractors. One of Bill's greatest passions was to work out in the yard in his vegetable and flower gardens, his little piece of heaven. He always enjoyed his wood-working projects, designing, and building tables, chairs, planters, etc. He drove all types of vehicles while earning a living over the years, and was so proud to have held his Class 1 license until the age of 81. Bill always had a smile on his face and a funny joke or story to share. He was a proud father and treasured his family get-togethers. Dad was a kind, loving, and gentle man. The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses, staff, and paramedics from Stonewall and St. Boniface Hospitals, for all their care. As per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held. There will be a private family interment at a later date. If so desired, a donation may be made in Bill's name to a charity of your choice. Rest in peace "Papa Tractor". We all love you and miss you dearly. You will be forever in our hearts! • Our sincere condolences to The Hyde Family..Bill will be greatly missed by all the people he came in contact with throughout his life and especially his family..Bill's Monthly visits to the office will be greatly missed--especially his stories, his jokes and his medicinal remedies for whatever was ailing you..We always enjoyed Bill's company on our annual tractor trip down to Killarney every summer for The Turtle Mountain Flywheel Club Ag Fair..This summer would have been 15+ years for Bill to attend the Killarney fair with us..Over the years of Bill's truck driving career for us hauling grain he acquired the nickname "SKIDDER" which stuck with him for many many years.
