PEARL KONISKI Peacefully and with dignity our mother, baba and great-baba Pearl took her last breath on Mothers Day, May 11, 2014 at Concordia Hospital, at the age of 79. Pearl is survived by her loving children, Joanne (Ken), Randy (Barb), Ron (Kathy), Gladwyn (Evelyn), Linda (Ken); grandchildren, Myranda (Rylee), Andrew, Stephan, Boone (Lisa), Waylon (Shannon), Grayson (Rose), Shauna (Keith), Luke (Steph), and great-grandchildren, Shawn, Pearl, Holly, Freya, Hunter, Rese, Adrea, Rogue, Emni, Natasha, A.J., R.J., Tianna, Jayda, Milaya, Nikita and Skylar. She also leaves to mourn, brother John (Eleanor), Nick (Rachel), brother-in-law Mike (Tillie), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joe, father Stanley, mother Mary, sisters Lena, Olga, brother Bill, nieces Sharon and Tannis, nephews Timothy and Richard, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and close friends. Pearl was born and raised and went to school in the Oak Hammock area. She left the family farm and moved to Winnipeg as a young girl. She had several jobs. She met Joseph at several dances in either Gonor or the Rosedale area. They were married on May 19, 1956. They bought their first home in St. Vital where they lived for 20 years making many friends with the neighbours. They then moved to Dad's old homestead in Narol where again they made many friends. She was a very talented woman who loved sewing and making her own clothes, crafts, flower arranging, plastic canvas, cooking, canning and playing cards just to name a few. She loved family gatherings and cooking for the whole bunch. Thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital, especially nurses Ellen and Dara for the compassion, kindness and dignity you showed our mother. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Gonor, MB at 10:00 a.m. with Father Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044
