TELLY SISK (nee PAWLINSKI) 1930- 2014 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved aunt Telly Sisk on May 18, 2014 at the Betel Home in Gimli. Telly was the youngest of five children born to William and Sophie Pawlinski of Meleb, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Ray; sisters Mary Banera and Anne Steeves; brothers Michael Pawlinski and Peter Pender; and nephews Edward Banera and Barry Steeves. She leaves to cherish her memory nephews Richard Banera of Gimli; Richard (Miriam) Pender of Vancouver; niece Bernice (Don) Symington of Gimli; great-niece Lorraine (Leo) Passaggio, great-great-nephew Dylan of Warren; great-niece Kelly (Sean) Smith, great-great-niece Jessie of Winnipeg; great-nephews Vance and Dana Steeves of Vancouver. Also many family members in Eastern Canada. Telly spent most of her life in Gimli working in the banking field where she met her husband Ray. She loved to play cards especially canasta with her sister Anne and special friend Lynn. She was involved for many years with the Gimli Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Telly and Ray enjoyed many social events through Ray's involvement with the Gimli Legion and Gimli Fire Department. They also made numerous trips visiting family and friends in Eastern Canada. Telly's favourite past-time was "visiting" Eaton's Department Store in Winnipeg. In keeping with Telly's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Telly's family would like to extend sincere thanks to the fantastic staff at Betel for taking such good care of her. Their kindness, caring and sense of humour will be remembered forever as the many things they did for her always brightened her day. Flowers gratefully declined. If you so wish, donations may be made in Telly's name to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or to a charity of your choice. Our deepest Sympathy to Telly's family. We knew her for many years, as she and Ray were good friends with my father (Mickey Beauchemin). - Posted by: Larry and Karen Gottfried (Friend) on: May 24, 2014
