Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN CHARLES (JACK) STEVENSON Peacefully on May 19, 2014, John Charles (Jack) passed away. Jack is predeceased by his first wife Alexina (nee Grant) and his sister Myrna Sharp. Left to keep his memory are his wife Velma (nee Hamilton); sons John (Diane Maurice) and Blair (Catherine) and step-son Bruce (Edyta Ciochon). He is also survived by grandchildren, Courtney, Jonathan, James, Justin and Eric. As well as sister Margaret Mundie (John) and brother Ken (June). Jack was born September 21, 1933. He served as a firefighter for the City of Winnipeg retiring as Captain in 1992. We will treasure his stories, his humor and his loving spirit. Everyone who knew him will miss him. The family would like to thank Seven Oaks Surgery and ICU staff for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Firefighters Burn Fund, Manitoba. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB, at 11:00 a.m. with Firefighter Chaplain Mark Young officiating.
