Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ELIZABETH TERESA EMMS Peacefully on May 24, 2014, Mary Elizabeth Teresa Emms (nee Shannon) passed away in the loving arms of her granddaughter Tracey and surrounded by all the family. She was attending a combined six family member birthday party in Ste. Rita. Betty was born on June 16, 1925 in Winnipeg and lived on the family farm in Anola most of her years. She recently was residing with her granddaughter Tracey and family, where she spent a happy nine months watching the antics of Tracey's little boy Princeton, and having the love of the family's three cats. Grandma and the cats adored each other. Betty was predeceased in 2010 by her husband George. She is survived by her son Fred (Vickie), granddaughters Sherri Hoover (Bob Lang), Tracey Emms, and Karen Belcourt (Justin) and great-grandchildren Robyn Hoover and Brydan Lang; Lachlan, Arran and Sighlie Rowsell, and Kaylee and Avaree Belcourt and her sister-in-law Edith Green. She is also survived by her beloved foster great-grandkids Emily, Princeton, Jasmine, Cora and Jayce who adored Grandma. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Crescent in OakBank. Interment of ashes following at Millbrook Cemetery, Anola, MB. Special thanks to Tracey, Karen and the paramedics who worked on Grandma to try to save her. Thank you Officer Webb of the RCMP and last but not least Dr. P. Fredette at Ste. Anne Hospital for his kind and compassionate words. This all makes it a little easier to bear. In lieu of flowers, please give donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ste. Anne Hospital.
