BRIAN RICHARD SPENCER Brian, 64, passed away May 26, 2014. Brian was born February 25, 1950 in Winnipeg, MB. Brian graduated from Dakota Collegiate in 1968 and received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Manitoba in 1981. Brian worked for Environment Canada for the majority of his career. Brian is survived by his son, Daniel Spencer, his brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Joann Spencer, his nieces Regan and Jo-Ann Spencer, his Aunt Jean Sokal and Uncle Stan Valich, and his girlfriend Janice. Brian loved golfing, the great outdoors, camping, fishing, was a sports fanatic and a fantastic cook. A service and reception will be held at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Friends and family will be gathering at the Norwood Hotel around 4:00 p.m. to celebrate Brian's life, everyone is welcome.   • Brian was a great guy. I remember many Holiday parties at the Norwood Hotel, where his good nature and easygoing way made him a joy to be around.
