JENNIE DANN (ZDEBIAK) 1915 - 2014 On January 23, 2014, after a long, full life, Jennie passed away peacefully at the age of 98 years, one month at Betel Home in Gimli, surrounded by her wonderful caregivers of the last eight years. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband John; her eldest grandchild, Vern, who she had a very special bond; her brothers Charlie, Stanley, Walter and her almost sister Amelia Thordarson. Jennie is survived by her daughter Angie Pashnicki (Walter); son Randy (Bonnie); grandchildren Wendy, Brad, Mark (Jenn) and Allison; great-grandchildren Megan, Matt, Corbin, Connor, Max and Nikko, and her remaining brother Victor. She also leaves her special niece Margaret Cadigan (Bob deceased) and Amelia's children Dorothy, Tiffany, Tom and Sharon who treated her like their second mother. Our mother was fiercely independent and was known to have a bit of a stubborn streak at times. She loved her family and would do anything she could to help when needed. She was a gifted seamstress and made all her own clothes. She loved to crochet and knit. She had a passion for growing her own flowers, gardening, cutting grass, card playing and fishing. She bowled for many years and was very active in the Gimli New Horizon 55 Plus Centre until her health prevented it. Our family will miss her, but thankful for having so many years with her, and remember her fondly through our precious memories. Please join us for a celebration of her life on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 50 - 1st Ave., Gimli with Pastor Les Skonnard officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

  • Sorry I won't be at the service, we are at our granddaughter's graduation in Calgary! Know that Auntie Jennie was more a grandma than an aunt. I have so many wonderful memories of my time at "The Farm"! Know that I love her with all my heart! - Posted by: Sharon (Niece) on: Jun 03, 2014
