(PEGGY) MARGARET ANN COLE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mom, Peggy Cole on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Health Sciences Centre. She was 67 years of age and fought a difficult fight with lung cancer. Left to cherish her memory are her son Bradley Cole, wife Allison and grandchildren Hannah and Ella; daughter Robin Cole, and sister Maureen Corby (Art) and family. Mom loved to spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and watching them enjoy their extra-curricular activities. Some of her favourite pastimes were watching the Blue Jays play, watching golf with her son and doing Sudoku puzzles. She also loved spending time with her daughter as they were very close and the best of friends. We would like to thank the amazing staff at St. Boniface Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre for the compassionate care they provided for her and her family. Cremation and a small gathering have taken place. Memorial donations can be made to St. Boniface Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre. Peggy was an amazing woman. I met her 25 years ago and from that first day she never made me feel like a guest in her home, only that I had always belonged there. Even years after, when I moved to Ontario, I had come to visit and still had that same feeling. I will always remember playing cards with her and listening to Sam Cooke. Peggy was one of my very first friends when my family moved to Winnipeg in 1987. We were both avid coffee drinkers, and would meet several times a week at Robins donuts. Even after I moved back to the Maritimes in 2000, we would still meet for coffee when my family went back to Winnipeg to visit my son. It is with a saddened heart that I write this story. Peggy was a very nice, wonderful co-worker. I'm saddened to hear of her passing. We have been neighbours for 20 years and had a very friendly relationship with Margaret. We had many conversations over the fence and on her back steps. She will be sadly missed. We were shocked to hear of her passing and offer our deepest condolences to daughter Robin Cole and son Bradley Cole and his wife Allison and daughters Hannah and Ella.
