MARY-ALLYSON JOY PARADOSKI On Tuesday, June 3, 2014, our beautiful Mary-Allyson Joy Paradoski left this world to join her loved ones who have crossed over. Left to cherish the many wonderful memories of Mary are her beloved son, Slater; the love of her life, Steve (Wallace) Brooker; parents Marjorie and Tony Paradoski, and sisters Mona, Esther (Dave), and Georgette (Inderaj). She also leaves her niece Chrissy (and children), and nephews Anthony (Amanda), Brad (Christie and children), Kari, Kalyn (Kendall), and Jyoti, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Mary was born February 4, 1972, the fourth daughter for Marge and Tony, and the baby of the family. From a very young child Mary established herself as a free spirit by wearing what suited her. Mary loved to wear dresses and bright colours and that love followed her into her adulthood. Several years ago she tired of her hair colour and decided that pink was the colour for her; she's had pink hair ever since, occasionally experimenting with other colours of the rainbow. Mary had a wonderful sense of humour and made everyone laugh with the things she would say and do. Mary absolutely defined "free spirit" and lived every day of her life to the fullest and on her own terms. One of her favourite things to do was to go tubing, and she would spend the day lazily floating down the Brokenhead River. Mary had a great love for music and volunteered at Folkfest for 10 years. Another one of her favourite places to go was Patricia Beach; Mary and her friends spent many summers there enjoying the water and the sun. Mary had a special place in her heart for animals and loved her cats dearly. She also championed the cause for banning the capture or slaughter of dolphins and orcas. Mary wanted an informal gathering, so we are having a come and go to celebrate Mary's life on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mary's parents house at 114 St. Andrews Road, St. Andrews, Manitoba. Please bring your lawn chair and dress in your brightest clothing to honour Mary's love of colour. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Trust Fund at the TD bank in Selkirk in Mary's son Slater's name or to Craig Street Cats or the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • She and I had some great times when we were younger. I was having a party and I was talking to my bf on the phone and I missed the chair and she, Liz and Cheryl started to laugh at me and I almost pissed myself laughing. I will miss her. - Posted by: Dawn Lavallee (very good friend ) on: Jun 07, 2014
