MICHAEL IAN HOFF February 22, 1994 - June 7, 2014 It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Michael at the age of 20 years. He was predeceased by his afi Harold Thorarinson, grandfather Albert Hoff, aunt Inger Hoff, and cousin Kent. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Stacey and Ove, brother Christopher, amma Margaret, uncle David and aunt Kelly, and cousins Matthew and Shanyn. Relatives in Norway include grandmother Ingrid, uncle Even, uncle Sigmund and aunt Marianne, and cousins Rune, Tone, Roger, Ivar, Andre and their families. Michael had a great sense of humour and was a caring and sensitive individual who was always respectful of others. He was a homebody and loved spending time with his family and friends. When he was 16 years old he started working at Earl's Restaurant and between attending school at Vincent Massey Collegiate and his work, he developed friendships that were such a strong part of his life. Michael decided to take up a trade and attended Winnipeg Technical College completing a welding program in June 2013. He had just begun to work with FWS where he was involved in welding work on a large grain elevator construction project in Saskatchewan. He was excited about this work and appreciated the opportunity. We were so proud of who he was as a person and where he was going with his life. Michael's brother Christopher always enjoyed the deep conversations they would have, from life choices to interesting documentaries, as well as training and nutrition. He was thoughtful and a good listener and loved his brother. His family and friends created wonderful memories for him from boating, to playing music, or going to concerts. We hope you can treasure these memories and try to live your life fully as Michael would have wanted you to. Thank you to family and friends for their caring and compassion during this difficult time. May you rest in peace Michael knowing you were loved. You will be forever missed and our lives will never be the same without you. Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St., on June 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., coffee to follow.
