Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH KIJANKA March 31, 1942 - June 3, 2014 Peacefully on June 3, 2014 Kenny Kijanka passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg. Kenny was born in Winnipeg and was predeceased by his father, Stanley Kijanka on April 17, 1968 and his mother, Annie Kijanka on May 17, 1996. Kenny will be lovingly remembered by his Aunt Mary Scraba of Matlock, MB and Mamie Gural of Penticton, BC, also several cousins in Winnipeg and across Canada. Kenny was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and he also attended the Ukrainian Baptist Church on Parr Street and Redwood Avenue. A memorial service will be held on June 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 505 Oakview Avenue officiated by Beth McLean, Winnipeg Beach United Church. The service will be complete in the church with interment to take place at a later date. The family would like to thank Kenny's church family for all their support. The family extends very special thanks for the compassion and care given by Dr. Finlayson, nurses and staff of the Seven Oaks Hospital 5th Floor Units 4 and 5. Also thank you to Kenny's friends and neighbours who were always there for him. Kenny was a loving, caring person all his life and will be missed by all who knew him. Should friends so desire, donations in Kenny's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Psalm 122 - I rejoice with those who said to me; "Let us go to the house of the Lord". For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say; "peace be within you."
