Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPENELOPE JOHNSTONE It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Penelope Johnstone on Monday, June 2, 2014. Penny passed away peacefully at the Manitoba Developmental Centre (MDC) with friends and care providers by her side. She will be greatly missed and remembered as a bright and spirited lady who brought many smiles and joy to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Una Johnstone of Winnipeg, many friends, and the MDC community. A Memorial Service to celebrate Penelope's life will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the MDC Aspen Worship Centre, 840 Third St. N.E., Portage la Prairie. Interment will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Penelope's memory may be made to Lake Manitoba Camp Legacy Inc., P.O. Box 1532, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3P5. Arrangements entrusted to RONALD MOFFIT MEMORIAL SERVICES

My sister Myrna met Penny when both were living at Cedar Cottage. Myrna liked Penny's outgoing personality and a friendship developed. Every phone conversation with Myrna includes her friend Penny.
