LINDA GROTH (STORCK) 1932 - 2014 Linda passed away suddenly on June 17. She was predeceased by her parents Hugo and Maria Storck and three brothers Rudi, Heinz and Ernst. Left to mourn are her brothers Walter, Hugo and Kurt and sisters Gerta in Germany and Maria in the United States. Here in Canada, she will be dearly missed by her husband of over 60 years, Helmut, her children and their children Charlie (Anita, Crystal, Addison and Colby), Carmen (Greg, Jeremy, Jamie and Dustin), Jutta (Dave and Craig), Eric (Monica, Thomas and Alyssa) and Randy (Amanda) and three great-grandchildren and extended families in Kelowna, BC and Mannville, AB. Mom was born May 31, 1932 in Ludwigshafen, Germany. She came to Canada in 1953 and started her life with Helmut. She was always doing something for her family everything from sewing a new dress for school to giving haircuts. She spent her spare time knitting, crocheting and stitching. Her garden in Lac du Bonnet was a great source of pride and we couldn't wait for that first dinner of fresh picked potatoes, green beans, tomatoes and kohlrabi. We will cherish these memories of her and what she did for all of us always! Funeral services to be held at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg, Saturday, June 21 at 1:00 p.m. with lunch to follow. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Alzheimer Society.

  • I will always remember Tante Linda's special laugh and unique smile. The Sunday visits with the family were always fun with a great meal. She will be missed but fondly remembered by all of us. Frieda van Solkema (Klatt) and family. - Posted by: friedaF () on: Jun 20, 2014
