My sincerest, heartfelt condolences to you all...thinking of you at this difficult time for your family. I love what my dear friend Guy wrote...and Ray, I couldn't agree more with his sentiments. I may not have ever had the privilege of meeting your Mom personally, but based on what I see in you she must have been a remarkable woman. Take care... - Posted by: Kevin Sorensen (Friend) on: Jun 26, 2014

She was definitely the best Nana anyone could ask for. There wasn't anything she couldn't do. I remember her sewing us outfits, quilting, doing ceramics with us, and of course she was an amazing cook. We practically lived there when we were kids, we slept over almost every weekend, and they always had every kind of cereal. Nana used to always scratch my back, and do my hair. I have so many wonderful memories of my Nana that I will never forget. I know she will always watch over her family, they were her pride and joy. I'll love you forever Nana. - Posted by: Ashley (Grandaughter) on: Jun 24, 2014

She was the most unbelievable person that I know. From the day I first remember she was the best person I knew with the biggest heart for everyone, her kids and any of us Champagne clan. Her door was always open anytime of day, for a supper or a sleepover. The time I remember most were the times we shared at the lake. Brandosa beach. We waited for them to arrive as it was easier for uncle to drive in the evening with the kids picking saskatoons there and then keeping track of Julia and I. So we didn't pick on Lucy. So many good memories. When I came to Winnipeg. I never missed a time for a visit and she loved her time at our place in Brandon doing what she loved, ceramics. always making something for someone else and helping when I was behind. Her sense of humor was the best. My memories of her are nothing but the best. I am so proud when someone says. Oh. Your just like your Auntie Rita That is the best compliment anyone can say to me. I'll always keep her in my heart. Thinking of my cousins and uncle Lawrence at this time - Posted by: Diane champagne Willey (Niece ) on: Jun 23, 2014

Ray, I never met your Mom...but I did know her. Her kindness, compassion, willing to lend an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. Her sense of humor and her love of life. So I can say without a doubt "I knew her" because I see all of this in you...the fine young man she raised! God bless and know that you are all in my prayers... - Posted by: Guy Gregoire (Friend) on: Jun 23, 2014
