Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEARL LEDOUX February 24, 1951 - June 19, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Earl Ledoux on Thursday, June 19, 2014. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his children, Earlene (Louis), Monty, Charlene, and Colleen, his grandchildren, great-grandson, his mom Bertha Ledoux, brothers, sisters, in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Earl was predeceased by his wife Theresa, father Felix Ledoux, sister Hilda, and several in-laws. He worked as a correction officer at the Winnipeg Remand Centre for 25 years then retiring to Pine River, MB where he loved and lived until he became ill. Dad loved his entire family and gave a lot of advice and help through the years. He worked hard all his life and enjoyed the casinos, bingo, camping and trapping with his neighbour, but most of all he loved to sit in his chair, drink his black coffee, smoke and watch TV. He will be solemnly missed and forever loved. Funeral Service will be held at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 548 Home Street at Ellice Avenue, Thursday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m. A Wake will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., Thursday, June 26. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. also on Wednesday. When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while. Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, And hug your sorrow to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile. And for my sake and in my name live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each walking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near. I still think about you all the time papa. I just miss you so much I wish I could just call you and talk, one day I’ll see you again. My bestfriend passed away. I miss you papa so much not a day goes by where I don't think of you, you were always like a father because my real dad wasn't around. All the memories we shared every time you always came to visit and sat on the couch and had a smoke and watch tv all day. You were always there for me I still feel like you here like I can just call you and you would answer. I miss your tight hugs where you would squish my head. My papa Earl, was a one of a kind grandpa.. He was always there to pick up the broken pieces and put a smile on everyone's faces. I'm glad to have him be apart of my life for 15 years because he treated me like his own when I really wasn't, but being there since I was born and being married to my grandma was good enough! I appreciate everything he has done during his life time. He was a funny, loud, crazy, loving guy. He's my champion and it's hard to let go.. I'll miss his tight hugs and jokes.. Him sitting on his chair while watching tv.. Making dinner.. Laughing and letting his grandchildren visit for the summers.. My papa is my champion and it's sad he was taken quickly ..
