WINNIFRED ETHEL BEAN (nee PERRIN) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on June 21, 2014 at the Selkirk Betel Home at the age of 82. Mom was born in Bellview, MB, May 5, 1932 to Kate and Edwin Perrin. She spent her early years in Bellview and Virden, MB going to school and working for her brother George on the farm. She met the love of her life Francis Bean and they were married in 1950. They had two sons, Nelson and Irwin. Mom and Dad enjoyed many trips to the U.S. and travelled Canada from coast to coast. They loved meeting people and made many friends along the way. Mom had many hobbies, some were curling, golfing, fishing, playing cards and knitting. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her son Nelson in 2003, and husband Francis, of 58 years in 2008. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Irwin (Linda) of St. Andrews; daughter-in-law Beverley of Camp Morton; grandchildren Nelson, Christopher, Jennifer and Stacey; several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister Nora of Virden; brother David of Alberta, and sister-in-law Doreen of Brandon. The family would like to thank the staff at the Betel Home for their care and compassion while she lived there. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Pawluk officiating.
