CLAUDETTE YARDUK (nee CHAMPAGNE) November 20, 1940 - June 21, 2014 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Claudette Yarduk. Mom passed peacefully at her home after a brief battle with cancer. She lived a wonderful, fulfilling life. Mom leaves behind five children, nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter to cherish her memory and continue her legacy: Lynn and Pat Adrian (Sherilyn, Ryan); Andre Trudeau (Justine and daughter Lily); Gerald and Sandra Trudeau; Rick and Jenny Trudeau (Cordelia, Darla, Aaliyah), and Kim and Doug Zapp (Jason, Josh, Melissa). She is also survived by her brothers: Bert (Shirley), Rudy (Shirley), Guy (Carol), and Marcel (Lena); a huge extended family and countless friends, including very dear friends Marge Seel and Betty Dancyt. Many loved ones awaited to greet her in heaven: her parents Joseph and Jeanne Champagne (nee Girard); her husband Rod; 12 siblings, and special friend Marlene. Mom was born in Ste. Anne, MB. She married Michel Trudeau with whom she had five precious children. They moved several times, finally settling in St. Boniface, MB in 1972. Mom worked at St. Boniface Hospital where she held several positions over the years. She thoroughly enjoyed her family, and they always knew how deeply they were loved. Mom relocated to Transcona with her children, and in 1986 married Rod Yarduk. They loved spending time at the lake, cultivating an amazing back yard, and spending hours shopping at Canadian Tire. They had six adventurous years together until his passing in 1992. In 2000, Mom was on the move again to Lac Du Bonnet, MB where she found her true passion. She became a valuable part of the community; participating in floor curling, the Kitchen Band, and volunteering at several organizations including the Legion, the Pioneer Club and Personal Care Home. She could be found at every event helping out in some fashion, spreading joy and happiness to everyone she met. A Celebration of Mom's life will take place on Monday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lac Du Bonnet Community Centre (casual dress is acceptable and appropriate). Sincere thanks to Dr. Papetti, Dr. Bruneau, Pastor Glen Krentz, the Dancyt family and especially to Marge and Betty for being such amazing friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba would be appreciated. Mosaic Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

My Aunty Claudette was the most amazing, caring, devoted lady I knew, she had so much love to give not only to her family, but to anyone that crossed her path. I will always cherish her. I will miss her smile, her raspy voice, laugh and most of all, her hugs. I love you Aunty, for now I say "adieu". - Posted by: Rhonda Reitmeier (Great niece) on: Jun 29, 2014

Auntie Claudette was one of those special people who always made you feel wonderful being around her. Her laugh and sense of humour I will never forget. When I moved to Winnipeg in 1987 I spent lots of time at her house as Kim and I were close. I will always have such fond memories of my time with her. She was an amazing mother to her kids and I wish them strength through this hard time. I love you Auntie Claudette... may you rest in peace.
