LORETTA JEANE NOWICKI (nee ENGLISH) January 23, 1945 - June 25, 2014 Loretta was born in her parents' home in Lavenham, MB and passed from this life in our home in Transcona with her devoted husband holding her hand and her children nearby. She was predeceased by her daughter, Andrea Lynn, her parents Frank and Jeane, brother Gerald and brother-in-law Paul Eichhorn. She is survived by her loving family: husband Ron, sons Pat (Tracey) and Jason (Pascale) and daughter Renee. Loretta will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Randi, Jenna, Amy, and Sarah. She also will be greatly mourned by her sisters Valerie Pernsteiner (Ron Milbrath) and Myrna Eichhorn and sister-in-law Shirlee English. She also leaves four nieces Heather, Audrey, Kathy and Chandra - and one nephew Christopher - and their families. Loretta was also blessed with many dear, life-long friends (especially Lyn Paulley) and extended family that she cherished to the end. Cremation has taken place and interment will be a private family affair in the near future. A Celebration of her Life will take place at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg on Sunday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m. Loretta's wishes were that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to your favourite charity. Our family would like to thank Dr. R. Lotocki and all the wonderful people at St. Boniface CancerCare who have enabled Loretta to fight the good fight for so many years and also, those people at Hospice & Palliative Care Manitoba who made it possible for Loretta to be at home at the end. I want to express my deepest sympathy to Ron, Patrick, Renee, Jason and their families. Loretta was a such a wonderful, caring woman. I have wonderful memories of Loretta and my Mom having coffee together, sitting and talking until the wee hours of the morning, and being great neighbours and friends. You will be missed by all whom had the privilege to have known and loved her. Rest in peace Loretta. - Posted by: Debi Marshall (Grantham) (Friend) on: Jul 14, 2014

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ron and family. Loretta was a very bright star here on earth. I've never met someone who is so positive, upbeat and beautiful inside and out and always made others feel good even when her life was being challenged. You will be missed greatly by all but I am thankful to have had the chance to have met you and your loving family and will hold many wonderful memories of being out at your cabin and many more. Shine brightly in the sky Loretta like you always have. - Posted by: Kim Krasnowski (Moorhouse) (family friend) on: Jul 07, 2014
