KATHLEEN SYLVIA CROCKER (nee JUCKES) It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Kathleen Sylvia Crocker on January 12, 2014 at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, just after her 80th birthday. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, three children, their husbands, three grandchildren, and extended family in both the U.K. and Australia. Sylvia was born in Mid-Wales, December 17, 1933 and was married March 31, 1956, Llandrindod Wells, Wales. She attended the University of Cardiff, Wales and later the University of Manitoba. She taught sciences and biology in both England and at St. Mary's Academy, Winnipeg from 1975 to 1996. A Memorial Service will be held at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, with details to follow at a later date. Sylvia has requested in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation: 1160 - 675 McDermot Avenue Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, or the Jocelyn House Hospice Foundation: 177 Egerton Road Winnipeg, MB R2M 2W7.   • I just recently came to learn of Mrs Crocker's passing . One of my favorite teachers who I credit my interest in science! Will always have fond memories of biology days in high school thanks to Mrs Crocker.   • Mrs. Crocker taught me Biology in Grade 11 and 12 at St. Mary's Academy. We used sit in class and bop bubble wrap while she was at the blackboard.....She was such a great teacher and person.
