MICHAEL FUZ With great sadness, we announce that our beloved Dad and Gigi passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Beausejour District Hospital at the age of 91 years. Mike was born October 12, 1922, one of eight children. Mike married Olga Leochko on November 18, 1949 and together they raised their daughter Shelley on the farm in Poplarfield. They were married for 40 years until March 1990 upon her sudden passing. He continued to live on the farm until 1999 and then moved to Poplarvilla where he resided until the end of May. Although in recent years he struggled with the loss of his eyesight, his independence proved to be dominant. His determination to be on his own and not a burden to anyone else was of utmost importance to him. Mike leaves to mourn his passing, daughter Shelley, son-in-law Jim and granddaughters Richelle and Kristyn whom he cherished. He is survived by brother Tony (Dorothy), sisters Margie and Joyce (James), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John, mother Justine, brother Steve, and sisters Pearl, Annie and Mary. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Poplarfield Community Centre. Interment will follow at the Poplarfield Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richelle Okaluk, Kristyn Okaluk, Gordie Fuz, Percy Fuz, Derek Wall and Darren Tanner. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. FISHER FUNERAL HOME INC.
