I knew Audrey in the late 60's. She mentored me as Children's Hospital librarian and subsequently recommended me for the Library Science program at UBC. She also recommended me and my ex-husband as suitable tenants for an apartment at Roslyn Road. So we became very close friends, indeed. We lost touch in the 70s when I was busy raising children in Vancouver, but she had her beloved Marcel and was happy! In late December 2012 I returned to Winnipeg to visit old friends and briefly reconnected with her. Despite her stroke she was able to communicate some what with me. We still had lots of laughs together but she was angry to have lost her dear Marcel and hated her disability. I was glad to have had a moment to reconnect. she is remembered in my heart. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Carolanne Steinebach (formerly Fenz) (friend) on: Nov 24, 2014
