Lawrence and Rita lived a life well-lived! Not only did they set a loving example to their family they were the strongest advocates for what was happening in the community as well. Their support for any projects connected with their home community of Sarto, MB, could always be counted on. They were always the first to step up to the plate in any way they could---the community always appreciated their involvement! They will be truly missed! May they have a peaceful repose together with God and with those who have gone on before them. - Posted by: Helen Feniuk (Cousin to Lorraine and Craig ) on: Jul 27, 2014

Ron has fond memories of his elementary teacher. When his dad died very suddenly and his family moved to Steinbach - it was Mr. Ulasy who picked up Ron and his sisters and took them back to Friedensfeld so that they could continue in school there. Helping their family in a time of great need..... In elementary I attended Ekron school and also have fond memories. I remember the two schools getting together on a regular basis and challenging each other in different sports. Mr. Ulasy was a teacher who clearly loved and was very passionate about what he did. He always brought out the best in his students - made them into teams that were very hard to win against! Kudos to him! So sorry for your loss - hugs across the miles! Papa was a great man, he set an excellent example for all the young men and women in our family, and was someone who will be difficult to live up to. He devoted his life to his wife, and he is with her again. Papa always told the best bed time stories, and made the best blanket forts. He could never resist sitting on the floor to play with his grandchildren. He also taught all of us what true love and respect looks like, and he always had faith in god. I will truly miss is stories and his profound knowledge. It's impossible to put into words how truly amazing of a man he was. He touched many lives, and his memory will live on forever. I love you papa - Posted by: Ashley (Grandaughter) on: Jul 26, 2014

What a beautifully worded Obit. The faith Rita & Lawrence passed on to you has made you see that in this tremendous loss is also the joy of them being together. A marvellous man has left the earth and the earth is less for it, but Heaven is rejoicing for the gaining of a wonderful new citizen. I am sure Lawrence can feel all our hugs. Hope the family can feel them too. - Posted by: Valerie & richard Wadephul (Friend) on: Jul 26, 2014
