NEILL June 23, 1918 - July 20, 2014 Peacefully Ted passed away July 20, 2014 at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, Manitoba at the age of 96 years. Ted leaves to mourn: one sister Bernice McIntyre; daughter Elaine and husband Fern Sabourin; son Garry and wife Faye; daughter Linda Perreault; daughter-in-law Carol Neill; grandchildren Cherisse Neill and husband Mike White, Neil Sabourin and wife Ginette, Troy Sabourin and wife Kimberley, Jon-Paul Perreault and wife Meghan, Brent and Daniel Neill; great-grandchildren: Aidan, Annabelle, Amélie, Jaedyn, Anouk, Owyn, Kienna, Bella and Ryer. Ted is predeceased by his wife Jean and oldest son Jim Neill; son-in-law Chaz Perreault; brother-in-law Arthur McIntyre. Ted was involved in community life all his life. His many contributions included: volunteer for Dauphin Fire Department, founding member of The Pas Credit Union, St. John's Ambulance Instructor for The Pas Air Cadets, active member of Dauphin Credit Union, United Church and Museum. He had numerous interests and hobbies such as carpentry, horticulture, clock-making, traveling and camping with "Good Sam" buddies. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Dauphin First United Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Dauphin and Morris General Hospitals, nurses and staff of the Red River Valley Lodge, family and long-time friends: Margaret Wasylyshen and Lydia Bawden, and others too numerous to list. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, The Canadian Cancer Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice. Ted was known to be obsessed with being on time, and was a clock maker. Befitting to his character his headstone has the inscription: "Clock Maker-Time Ran Out".
