GISELE KEIRSTEAD (neé BELANGER) Gisele Keirstead passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Conservatory Pond Retirement Residence, Kingston, Ontario on Saturday, July 19 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband, Eric. Loving mother of Marc, Paul (Holly), Paula and Sue (Paul). Dear memére of Heather (Blair), Amy (Ryan), Allison and Laura and granmemére of Emily and Daniel. Predeceased by her siblings, Louis, Jean-Claude, Jacqueline and Muriel. Gisele had a varied career that included work as a secretary at a law office and at Alcan in Kingston while her husband was attending Queen's University, a French translator while the family was stationed in Washington, DC, and as a realtor. She was a devoted mother who made a new home for her family after each of a dozen moves during Eric's military career. She was a beautiful and intelligent woman and an avid reader of everything from fiction to the History of Civilization. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be missed by all those who knew her wit and love. The family wishes to thank the staff at Conservatory Pond for their compassion and care, particularly Diana, Roxana and Romeo.
