ANNE SRUTWA (nee HRYCKIW) August 21, 1932 - July 25, 2014 Our beloved Mom, Baba and Great-Baba passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side on July 25, 2014 at the Health Sciences Center. Her first and foremost love was for her family. Mom is survived by her daughters, Sandra Srutwa and Darlene (Ben) Solmundson; grandchildren Ian Bouillet (Kathy), Michael (Farzia) Bouillet, Annie Solmundson (Brendan) and Krisjon Solmundson; great-grandchildren Alizeh and Curtis Bouillet and Zoey Zubriski; brother-in-law Peter Marucschak; sister-in-law Winona (Bill) Shupenia. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Victor; parents Stanley and Mary Hryckiw; sisters Stella, Elsie, Rose, Joyce; brothers Fred and Michael and grandson Curtis Bouillet. Mom was born and raised in the Foley area and met the love of her life at Crabby Steve's Barn Dance and together they farmed and raised their family in the Winnipeg Beach area. Throughout her life mom enjoyed curling, bowling, gardening, quilting, bingo and a good game of cards. Her door was always open to friends and family and you never left with an empty stomach. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made in Mom's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Foundation. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at the Selkirk and District Hospital and Health Sciences Center for their compassionate care.
