  • A shining star has joined the Heavens. My deepest condolences to the Hornbrook family. I was blessed to be able to see Sage grow from a young, bright eyed grade seven student, uncertain of what to expect in a new environment, to a beautiful young lady, who's compassion, gentle nature, sense of humor and wonderful smile, endeared her to everyone she met. As my student, she put up with my crazy eccentricities in class, laughed at my corny jokes, and hopefully learned something from me. In grade nine, when many students forget about their previous teachers, she would always greet me in the hallways with her wonderful smile and a hearty "Hi, Mr. J!" Sage would often come up to my room to bug me with her girls. I would act like: "Why are you pleasantly annoying me?" But deep down inside, she and the others made my day lighter and brighter. I will always Thank God for giving me the opportunity to have her in my life. Sage, your spirit will always be with me and I will look for your shining star in the heavens. - Posted by: Steve Jankac (Teacher) on: Aug 12, 2014

  • Sage was like a sister I never had, we did almost everything together. I think the best memory I have of us is last year's math class, the teacher hated and always used to get mad at us because all we used to do was laugh and have fun when he would try and teach. School isn't going to be the same without her. I'm going to miss her so much and I hope she knows I love her. - Posted by: Mercedes Les (Best friend/sister ) on: Aug 12, 2014
