Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGATHE FOURNIER (nee GOSSELIN) With her family at her side at the St. Boniface Hospital, Agathe passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the age of 74 years. Left to mourn Agathe's passing are her husband Paul, of 45 years of marriage, her daughters Josée and Brigitte (Daniel) Vankriken, her grandchildren Carole and Patric Ménard, her sisters Robertine Hince and Agnès Roy, her brothers Paul, Edouard (Yvonne), René (Edmée), brother-in-law Gilbert (Denise) Fournier and sisters-in-law Simone Gosselin, Aline Gosselin and Marguerite Bon, as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Jean and Mélanie Gosselin, sisters Marie-Jeanne (Omer) Bernardin, Eugénie (René) Lambert and Denise Gosselin, brothers Célestin and Lévi, brother-in-law Pascal Roy, and nephew Jean Hince. Agathe was raised on the family farm in St. Malo. She went on to join the Sisters of the Cross as a novitiate. Finding this was not her calling, she continued teaching in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. She later met and married Paul and they have been living in St. Vital for the last 27 years. Agathe returned to school and obtained her certificate of Business Administration from St. Boniface College at the age of 50 and subsequently got her dream job as administrative assistant at Paroisse du Précieux-Sang where she worked until she retired at the age of 65. She was always active in her parish in one form or another. Agathe was very caring and attentive to her family and friends, always available and willing to help. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Eugène Parish, 1007 St. Mary's Road, with viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment of her cremated remains will take place at a later date.
