I have many happy memories of travels with Norm and June. My wife Joan (Dafoe) and June met while in University and became great friends for the rest of their lives. Norm, was always the eager traveller, adventurous in nature, articulate and knowledgeable. We were very fortunate to share in many trips over the years including Portugal, Jamaica, Mexico, Hawaii and Florida besides cruises to the Mexican Riviera and through the Panama Canal. My grown children Anne and Scott and I send our heartfelt condolences to Brian, Ellen and family for the loss of this true gentleman and friend, Norm. - Posted by: William "Bill" Ziegler (friends) on: Aug 19, 2014

Mr. Donogh spoke at a number of Queenston School Remembrance Day assemblies. He was such a gracious person, generously sharing his time and his stories. He helped students and staff understand the impact of war and the importance of remembering. - Posted by: D. Nordal (friend of the family) on: Aug 14, 2014

Mr. Donogh (Norm) was a true gentleman with the combination of warmth, genuineness, professionalism, hilarity, integrity and to top it all off a superb dancer at our Christmas parties. It was an honour to have worked with him. He made life at the Legislature a true enjoyment at the time. My sincere sympathy and God's blessings to the family. - Posted by: Darlene Hoffman (former co worker) on: Aug 14, 2014

While making my film about the The Royal Winnipeg Rifles, Norm Donogh, a former commanding officer of the regiment, was especially gracious and helpful. A true gentleman, Norm was always ready to talk about his experiences during World War II, which included landing at Juno Beach on D-Day and later on being wounded. We became friends during this time and Norm was always a friendly host who enjoyed a chat not only about his experiences, but about life in general. Norm was especially interested in matters relating to the military and was exceptionally well-informed when it came to regimental history. He was kind, intelligent, friendly and as good a representative of Canada's "greatest generation" as one might hope to encounter. We will remember him. - Posted by: Jon Ted Wynne (friend) on: Aug 14, 2014
