ANN STEVENSON November 13, 1928 August 6, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ann Stevenson on August 6, 2014 at Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 85 years. Ann is predeceased by her parents James and Mary McHale, brother James, mother and father-in-law Florence and Archibald Stevenson, sister-in-law Peggy and brothers-in-law Eddie and William. Ann's memory will forever be cherished by her husband John, sister Mary (Allen) Peddie, brother John McHale, numerous nieces and nephews of Scotland and her special friend Linda Harding. Ann was born on November 13, 1928 in Lennoxtown, Scotland. On July 16, 1948 she married the love of her life John. They moved to Canada in 1957 and over the years Ann was employed at TD Bank, Eaton's Catalogue Sales, and Simmons Mattress. Ann had many accomplishments in her life; her biggest was marrying John and spending 66 wonderful years together. Ann was also recently awarded a long service pin from the Transcona Legion # 7. Ann loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and Scotland. She also loved to bowl, dance and play darts. Respecting Ann's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Her cremains have been sent to Scotland and will be laid to rest back home with her Mother. A special thank you to Dr. Mercier and the first floor staff of Park Manor Personal Care Home for their loving care over the past three years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Funeral Arrangements in Care of Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium 1800 Day Street 224-1525

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Anne was a truly beautiful lady. Her and her husband John attended the music program together quite often, and she had so many wonderful stories to share! Their marriage was truly a beautiful and joyful one! The love and companionship shared by the two of them, was amazing! Even though her sight wasn't good anymore, she often knew my voice and always greeted me cheerfully! She will be deeply missed! - Posted by: Bonnie Scott (Volunteer at Park Manor for the Music program) on: Aug 19, 2014
