Ron Spak on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the very young age of 61. Ron's memory will be cherished by Connie, his wife of over 31 years and his daughter Amanda, brothers John (Angie), Stan (Jan) and Orest (Cory), sister-in-law Kim (Grant), brother-in-law Paul (Evi), and mother-in-law Caroline Starkewski. Ron will also be missed by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Joan and Peter Spak, Baba Sicinski, grandma and grandpa Spak, and father-in-law Ernie Starkewski. Also predeceased by his loving cat Chowder who will be there to meet Ron at the Rainbow Bridge. Ron was born in Oakburn, Manitoba June 25, 1953. He graduated from Rossburn Collegiate and moved to Winnipeg in 1973. His first job was at Domtar, followed by Coop Implements, Glenwood Distribution, and Burns/MapleLeaf Foods for 20 years and finally Freshwater Fish Marketing Corp. He loved his karate and took great pride in attaining his Black Belt in Shotokan in 1977. Ron received six medals in Kata. He enjoyed many summers going back to the family farm in Oakburn. He resided in Transcona (God's Country as per Ron) since leaving Oakburn. He always said there were two types of people people who lived in Transcona and those who wished they lived in Transcona. The family would like to thank the medical staff for their excellent care, as well as the fire and police who extended such compassion to Ronald. Connie and Family, we extend our Deepest Condolences. Mom and Dad were just informed of Ron's passing. Connie, some men leave their mark on the world by the way they live and the difference they make in the lives they touch. Let each tear that falls be a gentle reminder that you and Ron truly loved each other, and made such a meaningful difference in each other's lives, and that is a gift that no loss or sorrow, or time or distance can ever take away. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sending Hugs and Love: The Fulawka Family xoxo... - Posted by: Karen Fulawka Reimer (Family Friend) on: Aug 20, 2014
