Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA TERESA CANNIZZARO April 9, 1933 August 17, 2014 With saddened hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Maria Teresa Cannizzaro, with family by her side, on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the age of 81. Teresa is predeceased by her loving husband Paolo along with her mother Caterina and father Domenico Marchese, sisters Marianna, Victoria, brother Joseph and granddaughter Josephine. She leaves to mourn her children Vincent (Shelley), Maria (Romeo), Cathy (Dino), Maryann (Derek), Domenica (Vito), Mike, Joey (Brandi), Nick (Teri); twenty grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brothers Tony (Rena), Nick (Cristine), Mike; sisters Rosa (Dominic), Sara (Mlmmo) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Teresa was born in Monterosso, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1962. Her working career was to look after the family and home. Her joy was to spend as much time as possible with her family who meant everything to her with the occasional trip to the casino. We will miss her kindness and encouraging words spoken, always to ensure her family values were passed down to us and to remain close. We love you and we know that you are at peace. The family wishes to thank the staff of Victoria General Hospital Emergency Dept. for their kind and compassionate care. The family will receive condolences between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.; Eulogy will be delivered at 10:45 a.m. followed by the Mass of Resurrection on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church 510 River Ave. with Fr. Sam Argenziano. Entombment will follow in Holy Angel Mausoleum Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy No.1 and Navin Road. Pallbearers will be Raymond Musto, Paul Cannizzaro, Mike Sossai, Dino Musto, Andrew Cannizzaro, Roman Macario. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
