Brenda and I were best friends growing up on Ingersoll Street. Her family was my second family, and over the years I wondered what her life had become. it was just by accident that I learned she had passed away, but I have many happy memories of our time together. Her parents were not rich, but they were rich in love for their family. They were hard working people with a wonderful sense of humour. Brenda died far too young, and I'm very sorry for your loss. She will always have a special place in my heart. - Posted by: Sharon Stubbington- (Brigden) (friend) on: May 05, 2016

Oliver, please accept my condolences on the passing of your Brenda. When I knew you at Manitoba Hydro (my surname was Durnin at that time), you and Brenda were awaiting the birth of your fourth son. Although we have lost touch over the years, I still remember how important your family was to you, and hope that their presence comforts you in your time of loss. - Posted by: George Harrop-Durnin (colleague) on: Sep 01, 2014

Brenda Trnka was not only a wonderful person, she was my mum. Even though she wasn't well the last few years, she carried on laughing and singing as usual. I will always remember my mom for her strength and determination to raise us kids in a respectable manor. Mom is now with the angels and free from pain. She will be forever in our hearts. Rest in peace mom until we meet again. - Posted by: Rick Trnka (son) on: Aug 30, 2014

To Oliver and family, Having known Brenda for more than 30+ years we always knew that she was one of the kindest most caring people we know. We always enjoyed our Sunday nights bowling with her. Even after having moved from Wpg. to AB 25 years ago she always made a point of keeping in touch with us. I always enjoyed her messages and hearing how the family was doing and when there was too much to talk about she would call me on the phone. I was so surprised and sorry to hear of her passing. Our hearts go out to Oliver and the family and know that she will be forever remembered and in our hearts. God Bless! Gwen & Darrell - Posted by: Gwen & Darrell Uchach (Friends) on: Aug 30, 2014
