He leaves behind his wife Shirley, of 47 years; daughters, Tammy and Shawna (Darrell) and grandchildren, Dylan, Daryl, Emalia and Lilly. Prayers will be held on Saturday, September 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Shirley and her family. May you find comfort in your time of sorrow. Merv was part of our extended family. He was an unofficial grandfather to our three children, who always enjoyed talking with "Mr. Merv". Merv always had a smile on his face and always had our best interests at heart. I was so glad to have reconnected with him a few years ago at Jean's birthday, it was absolutely wonderful to see him. We had some great laughs and shared some wonderful memories.
