Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL (MIKE) MAGNOWSKI Peacefully on September 5, 2014 with family at his side, Michael passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his father Antony Magnowski, his mother Anastasia Juce, his daughter Louise, his brothers Nick, Chester, Frank, Roy and his sisters Mary, Cassie, Lena, Nellie, Margaret and Ann. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Theresa, his children Audrey, Michael (Nancy), Kevin, his sister Victoria Pushka and his grandchildren Chantel, Kevin, Chad and Kirk. Michael was born on May 1, 1927 and spent his early childhood in the Angusville and Russell area. He worked the farm with his family and later became a mechanic. He met his loving wife Theresa in Russell and they were married for 62 years. His retirement years were spent enjoying gardening, fishing and traveling. Mike was the strong silent type who often spoke few words, but when he did, they were often about something close to his heart. He loved to share about the things he knew and would always give his best advice when asked. He was hardworking and never liked to be idle; he was always outside working or fixing something that needed repair. He was loving, devoted to his family and his marriage in which he would often show the spark' was still there with a glance or loving comment. The family would like to thank the staff, especially Lisa and Lenore, at the Seven Oaks Emergency Department for their support and excellent care. In lieu of flowers donations may be offered to the Mass or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Monastery 225 Masters Ave. Officiated by Father Dominic Yuen.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the family at this time. I remember Theresa talking of Mike very often in the most loving terms, even though I had never met him. I also remember the many times we were working late, on call, well into the night and even the morning and how Theresa didn't like to drive. So Mike would come, no matter the time, and pick her up, and I thought, Wow what a sweetheart! - Posted by: Maggie Robson (I worked with Mike's wife Theresa for many years until her retirement.) on: Sep 08, 2014
