ROSEMARIE GUDRUN MOFFAT (nee LUNDBERG) Peacefully, with her close family by her side on September 2, 2014, Rosemarie lost her brave battle with lung cancer at the age of 71. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by those of us fortunate enough to have had her in our lives. Rosemarie was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Elizabeth Lundberg. She leaves behind her loving family: her husband, Lorne J. Moffat; daughter, Jacqueline Heidinger (David); son, Lorne W. Moffat; grandson, Kris Moffat (Stacey); granddaughter, Selina Heidinger; great-grandchildren Leanne and Aaron Moffat; brother, Peter Lundberg; sister, Janet Kennedy and her good friend Mae Bodley. Rosemarie loved children. She fully embraced her roles of parent, grandmother and great-grandmother. For her life's work she was employed by The Winnipeg School Division for 26 years as a Teacher's Aide. For 25 of those years she worked at Mulvey Elementary School. Her wisdom, guidance, and love made a difference in the lives of many children over the years. Rosemarie was a kind, generous, determined, busy, feisty, hard working woman, who was always ready to lend a helping hand. She had such energy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Riverview Health Centre Foundation. We thank all the staff members at these two places who provided such respectful and compassionate care to her. A celebration of her life, with family and friends, will be held at E.J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street in Winnipeg, on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date in the Hecla Island Cemetery.
