BIMLA DEVI KAUSHAL July 27, 1928 September 5, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bimla Kaushal, on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Victoria General Hospital. Bimla is survived by her son Prem (Renu) Kaushal and daughter Uma (Vipin) Kaushik. Also left to cherish her memory are her granddaughters, Isha, Nihar, Shivangi and grandson Tejas. Bimla was a devoted daughter, wife, loving mother, and respected community member. She graciously volunteered at both The Hindu Society of Manitoba, The Manitoba Hindu Seniors Inc., and The Pine Falls Hospital Auxiliary. At the Pine Falls Hospital Auxiliary she started as the Secretary of the board, then became the Treasurer, and was eventually elected as President. Bimla was a strong-willed, intelligent, and loving woman. No matter what situation she was presented with, no matter how challenging it was; she was able to overcome it. She passed a lot of wisdom down to her children and grandchildren and she was always quick to share her stories, memories, and laughter with those around her. She will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. The Kaushal family would like to thank the Victoria General Hospital and its nursing staff for their immense support during this difficult time.
