ALEXANDER FEDORUK (Sonny) October 1, 1943 September 3, 2014 After many years of ill health, Sonny passed away at home peacefully on September 3, 2014 at the age of 70. Sonny was born in Winnipeg and lived his younger years at Rosie's Inn in the north end. He attended King Edward School and Tec-Voc High School. Sonny is survived by his wife Janet, son Glenn (wife Claudette and grandchildren Justin, Jaiden and Jett); daughter Kim and grandchildren Alex and Paige; sister Donna and husband John Dynkavitch; sisters-in-law Lesley (husband Don Lewis) and Kerry Taschuk; nieces Sandra, Kristi, and Alison, and nephews Billy and Jarrett. Sonny was Godfather to his niece Sandra. Sonny was predeceased by his mother Rose, father Alexander Fedoruk, step-father Anthony Popovitch and niece Alicia White. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, especially with his friends and family at Dauphin River. Very special thanks to Ron Shepertycki, Bill Toews, Bill Jost, Lesley Lewis, and all our family and friends who guided us through this very difficult time. Special thanks to Wayne Holmstrom and Ron Shepertycki for their tireless business support. As Sonny wanted to spend his final days at home, thanks to Dr. Henry and Home Care (Freddie, Darlene, Myrtle, Krystal, Heidi, Sherry, Darlene, and many more Home Care workers). Also thanks to the Palliative Team from St. Boniface Hospital who guided us through the very last week of his life. You are all special people. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My condolences to Sonny's entire family and network of friends on his untimely passing. I first met Sonny when I started as a young man at Molson, where he did work for us in the printing business. I continued to take my business to Sonny over the years where he and the entire gang at Zenith/WPB became very good acquaintances and always had time (and a short drink) for me. Sonny had a big heart and always made you feel welcome! He was one of the good ones! Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Cam Moskal (Friend) on: Sep 21, 2014
