"Auntie Claire" to my son, first cousin to my mom, co-worker for many years (until last year) and so much more to me; Claire was and did so much for me over the years. She was there for me. For years, Claire was that person that I spoke with if not every day, than certainly every third or fourth day. I will miss the many stories that confirmed her love for her children and all her grandchildren, and I will miss sharing the many stories that Claire listened to with care. My thoughts and prayers are with Dean, Wendy, their families and the many friends and family that feel the loss of Claire in their lives. May our emptiness be filled with the great memories we shared with her. - Posted by: Tanya Masserey (2nd cousin, x co-worker & friend) on: Sep 23, 2014

Our deepest and most sincere sympathy to Wendy, Dean and your families. Your Mom was a beautiful and fun loving Lady. Even though we haven't seen her in a few years, you both always kept our family up to date in what she was doing. Remain strong in this most difficult time, and I know her memory will be forever in your hearts. Thinking of you at this sad time, my thoughts are with you, Dean & Wendy. It's been a long time since I've talked to you, Dean, but although I didn't know your Mom really well, I always enjoyed chatting with her whenever I saw her. - Posted by: Sheila Robb (Acquaintance from long ago) on: Sep 22, 2014

My condolences to Claire's family. She will be in our hearts forever. Claire lived with my family and pretty much raised us when we were young. She was always so full of life. - Posted by: Cheryl Beaumont (cousin) on: Sep 20, 2014

I will always remember when Claire lived with us. When my parents were out she would stick bread knives in all the door frames (including the one to the basement) to jam them locked. She was always worried about break- ins, even though we lived in pretty good neighborhoods. My dad used to complain about all the bent knives and blame us kids! - Posted by: Ken Huff (Cousin) on: Sep 20, 2014

Claire took care of me for the first few years of my life. I was attached to her hip and even slept with her. When she told me she was getting married I asked her where her husband was going to sleep as there wouldn't be enough room for all 3 of us in the bed. She has always been in my thoughts and I am sorry I didn't get to see her one last time. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Wendy and Dean and their families. - Posted by: Leona Robertson (Cousin) on: Sep 20, 2014
