Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA CARDAMONE Peacefully following a lengthy illness, it is with sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Cardamone on September 28, 2014 at the age of 73. Maria is survived by her husband of 52 years, Francesco, children Peter (Debbie), Marisa (Joe) and Tony (Corinna) and grandchildren Michael, Stephanie, Nicholas, Aaron, Furrio and Adrianna. She will also be remembered by her brother Francesco (Caterina), sisters Lucia (Giuseppe) and Rosina, sisters-in-law Teresa and Caterina and brother-in-law Giuseppe (Rose) as well as many nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her parents Pietro and Filomena, mother and father-in-law Pietro and Maria, brothers-in-law Renzo, Adolf and Antonio. Maria was born on January 29, 1941 in Settingiano, Italy. Maria and Francesco married in 1962 and immigrated to Canada in 1968 as a young family. She spent her years in Canada raising her family and working in the garment industry. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with friends and family. She always looked forward to visiting with her grandchildren. She took great joy in cooking and baking her grandchildren's favourite foods. Her passion and devotion will be missed by all who knew her. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue. Condolences will be offered one hour before mass. Entombment to follow at Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley Street. Pallbearers will be Peter Cardamone, Tony Cardamone, Joe Zirino, Michael Zirino, Aaron Paul, Nicholas Zirino and Joe Cardamone. The family would like to thank all the friends and family for their support during her illness. A special thank you to the Central Dialysis Unit at Health Sciences Centre for all their care over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
