GRANT BENNET Suddenly Grant was taken from us on September 28, 2014 at 05:22 as a result of a severe infection. Grant was born on April 22, 1991, in Brandon, MB. He lived his life in the Matlock area, but was known by people all over the place! With his huge personality, quick wit and "big laugh" you always knew Grant was in the room. He touched the hearts and lives of many people. Friends from Manitoba to Mexico - "G-Man" kept in touch with them all. He will be missed by everyone who he met and loved by them all. Fishing was one of his loves; both commercial and recreational. He always said "on the lake he felt free". His greatest love was his son Justin. His every accomplishment was a source of pride. He always said Justin is smart like his daddy. He is survived by parents Rob and Deb; brother Troy; son Justin; Justin's mom Amanda, and all his family and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Flowers are gratefully declined, those who wish to donate may do so at Noventis Credit Union, Winnipeg Beach or Gimli - a trust fund has been set up for his son Justin. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

  • Rob, Debbie and Troy ... so sad to hear Grant passed. Such great memories over the years. Of course hockey hockey and more hockey. The wild cheering back at Wpg Beach rink. Grant always smiling and having fun. That weekend camping in your yard. Great times. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you all - Posted by: Cindy Jacobucci (Friend of the family) on: Oct 04, 2014

  • Grant, my grad date, you were like a little brother to me with that blonde hair, those blue eyes and all the playful mischief that came with them. From babysitting to family visits and late night knocks on the door that scared the pants off me. I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to be in your life for so long. I will miss our Christmases together, but know you will always be present with your big, beautiful and enduring heart. Rob, Deb, Troy and Justin...my deepest sympathies and love to you. I am there in spirit with you and long to give you each a big a hug and one for Grant too. Though I will not physically be with you tomorrow to celebrate Grant's life, I will be there in spirit and through the years to come. - Posted by: Wendy Moar (family friend) on: Oct 01, 2014

  • Rob, I am so sorry for your loss and my warmest thoughts are with you during this difficult time. It was heartbreaking to hear of a loved one passing at such a young age. I'm so sorry I missed the reunion to celebrate happier times but I really look forward to seeing you again. - Posted by: Linda Zimerman (Friend) on: Oct 01, 2014

  • I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. His Memory will live on thru his beautiful son. - Posted by: Bonny Weber (friend) on: Oct 01, 2014

  • We remember fondly Grant and his bubbly laughter and giggle. Emily toted the stuffy EYORE given to her by her Manitoban cousins everywhere she went for years after our visit many summers ago. That short visit with Grant and the kids will always be remembered and cherished. Although he was only 12, he remains a vivid memory of a special family member. We look forward to knowing his little guy Justin. Love Kerri and Emily xx - Posted by: Kerri and Emily (Cousin and lil cousin) on: Oct 01, 2014

  • Grant was one of the Beacher Gang that all hung out at our home. I will always have my memories of him sitting at the kitchen table. He was likely the pestiest of the bunch but also the most endearing. Kathryn always refferred to him as her kid brother I never gave her. Memories of Grant will forever be in our hearts - Posted by: Kathy Vandenbogerd (Friend and mother to his Beacher Gal Friend Kathryn) on: Oct 01, 2014
